A LITTLE BACKGROUND....

Siberians are strong agile cats who can take up to five years to mature. As in all breeds, the females are smaller than the males. Siberians are medium large, heavily muscled, and have round heads and wide-set rounded ears more towards the side of the head than right on top of the head. Their wide-set eyes slant slightly towards the ears. Their backs are long and very slightly curved but appear horizontal in motion. Their compact rounded bellies develop with age. The hind-legs of Siberians are slightly longer than the front legs, with large, firm rounded paws. Their plush, triple coat is accentuated by an abundant ruff which sets off a large impressive head. The crowning glory is their facial expressions which are alert but incredibly soft and sweet.

At Katlina, every effort is made to produce magnificent Siberian cats. Our breeding program is extensive and closely monitored so that our kittens are as close to the breed standard as possible, have good hypoallergenic qualities, and personalities that will melt your heart.

INTRODUCING OUR LADIES....

I know of no other cat who is as spoiled as our Nakita. She has a charming personality, a pretty face, and is soft enough to be a cuddly toy. She loves human contact and expresses herself with sweet meows, chirps and lots of purring. When you call her name, she comes running to see what's going on with all her little kittens running along behind her. She is a wonderful mother who cares for her babies with endless energy and love.

About Her Pedigree:   Nakita is a beautiful tortie who was born in our cattery. Her maternal grandfather is the famous Supreme Grand Champion Fawn Fawn. Her father's lineage, which also consists of many Grand European Champions, goes back to Della Taiga in Italy and Andokaja in Germany.

Our Anastasia is still a very young lady. She was born into our cattery and we fell in love with her from a very early age. She is not only stunning but intelligent as well. She knows the sound of our doorbell and rushes into the hall to greet visitors to our home. They always comment that she is amazingly beautiful and stoop to run their fingers through her long, silky fur. She loves the attention and nudges their hands and purrs hoping that this very pleasant activity will never end. After being petted and praised by everyone, she retires to her favorite place, the top of the sofa back, where she can look out the window and contentedly watch children playing in the street.

About Her Pedigree:  A rare gem in coloring, Anastasia is a gorgeous silver torbie. Her long, thick, plushy coat has just a hint of cream in it and is offset by bright golden eyes. Her exquisite looks comes from a long line of champions. Going back three generations, almost every cat holds at least a championship - many are European grand champions and there are also a few world champions.

Stelliana is a gorgeous brown mackerel tabby and she has one of the sweetest temperaments we have yet to see. She is a wonderful mother, always vigiliant and very protective. Stelliana is a great favorite of our dogs. In fact, we are sure they she thinks she is part dog, or maybe she thinks the dogs are part cat. It is hard to say. When Stelliana can't be found on her usual high perch in the dining room she will most likely be cuddled in one of the dog beds surrounded by dachshunds. When space gets a little tight it is no problem for her. She just stretches herself across the top of the dogs' backs and makes herself comfortable. It is quite a sight to see.

About Her Pedigree:  Stelliana came to us in 2007 and she is proud to be able to say that her lines are some of the oldest in Russia - Black and Valenvic. Her pedigree includes numerous champions - including five world champions.

Kiska is the most entertaining of our Siberian cats. She is agile and can climb and leap with abandon. What is even more amazing is that she never upsets anything in her path. Watching her antics and playing "fetch" with her, can amuse our small granddaughter for long periods of time. When the two of them tire of playing, they climb up on the sofa and watch TV together. Their mutual affection is delightful and heartwarming. It is well known that Siberians love to be near humans and have the ability to blend in and adapt to almost any family situation.

About Her Pedigree:  Kiska also was born into our cattery, the daughter of our beloved Celsiana, one of our first Siberians. Her father's side goes back into several prestigious Italian catteries. Her mother is comprised of Chingi-Tura, Black and the original Starpoint lines.

Nadia is the darling of the cattery. She has a sweet personality and is loyal, affectionate and playful. She loves the bustle of family life full of children, pets, noise and the smell of roasting chicken. She is always looking for a lap to curl up on or a warm bed to sleep in (preferably if someone is sleeping in it with her). She loves to cuddle and brings her kittens along so they can be cuddled and petted as well. She is a wonderful mother and raises awesome kittens whose personalities are the same as hers. It is no wonder that her kittens are always in demand.

About Her Pedigree:  We are so grateful to be able to have Nadia in our breeding program. She is a classic tabby and comes to us directly from Russia. Both of her parents are grand international champions. Of her four grandparents, one is a champion, two are grand international champions and the fourth is a European champion. Most of her great grandparents and great, great grandparents obtained a championship and many did even better than that. She is proud to report that she has Marcell and Fialka on her father's side of the pedigree and Marcel, Silva and Chingi-Tura on her mother's side.

INTRODUCING OUR GENTS....

Gorbachev (known as "Gorbi" to his friends) is our newest boy and we are expecting great things from him. He is a gorgeous cream silver mackerel tabby and the ultimate lap cat. When someone is sitting down, Gorbi feels it is his right to be cuddled in their lap. He gets his very loving personality from his father and we are expecting him to pass his temperament on to his offspring.

About His Pedigree:  His regal good looks come from a long line of champions. Both his parents are European imports and his pedigree is full of champions including world champions. His lines include the prestigious catteries of Silva Line, Marcel, Chinigi-Tura and Schlosspavillon.

Mishinka, better known as Chinki-Chinki, is the main man around our cattery. He has been with us almost since the beginning and he feels he rules the roost. Mishinka is a black / silver mackerel tabby. He has a thick, plushy coat, a gorgeous ruff, a strong stocky body and the sweetest personality. Just looking at him starts him purring.

About His Pedigree:  Both of his parents hold championships and there are many international champions in his background. His father's side goes back to Starpoint Cattery; the first Siberian cattery in North America. His mother goes back to Marcel; one of the oldest and most prestigious catteries in the world.

Our beloved and adored Mishinka, who has headed our cattery for years, will be retiring this year. After a long search we selected Rasputin as his replacement, we are hoping that he will be able to fill Mishinka's shoes. We think he may be up to the challenge. At the young age of six months he has already produced a gorgeous litter of seven kittens.

About His Pedigree:  Rasputin's lineage includes the prestigious cattery of Marcell on his father's side and Knyaz Gvidon on his mother's. His pedigree is full of champions, and grand international champions.
