OUR BEAUTIFUL KITTENS
We breed beautiful Siberian kittens in a variety of colors and have chosen some of our favourite
pictures to show you (below) which we hope you enjoy.
We also have a photo albums page containing other interesting pictures of our Siberian
cats and kittens. Our "available" cats and kittens are always featured in the first album(s).
Be sure to check this page if you are interested in what we have to offer.

Our kittens leave us at 12 weeks of age. By that age, they have had plenty of nurturing
time with their mothers and a chance to really interact with their litter mates. Although
we know that everyone wants to get their kitten as soon as possible, we believe this
extra time is vital for a kitten to grow and mature and to become a stable, trusting and
loving adult cat.
The time our kittens spend at Katlina is precious. For the first four weeks of their
lives we let Mama Cat have complete control, but after that “her Staff” lends a helping
hand. Four weeks of age is the time in the wild the time when a litter of young kittens
would be emerging from their den and it is at this time that they are the most vulnerable
to attack by predators. It is also at this time that their sense of fear is at its highest
and when we feel that learning to trust and love humans is the most important.

From four weeks of age and onwards every kitten is held individually and rocked for at least
30 minutes every day. During these sessions they are stroked, and talked to softly. They get
what we call “the full body massage”. Laying on their back in our hands we start at the
top of the head gently messaging their little bodies. By the time we have worked down
through their necks, backs and tummies and paws, they are little limp bundles completely
stretched out and enjoying every minute of it. Massaging the back paws, in between the
paw pads is especially enjoyable to kittens, if they are accustomed to it. Handling of
kittens in this manner makes it easier to handle them as adults, especially at claw
clipping time.
